Urinalysis and Fecal Exam

A comprehensive checkup of your dog to ensure they remain happy and healthy.

A urinalysis is an important tool for detecting changes in the kidneys, diabetes and urinary tract diseases. This information can help keep your animal happy and healthy for a long time! A fecal analysis can let us know if your dog is harbouring any scary internal parasites which can spread to humans. These can be detrimental to your animal’s health, so it is critical that they are identified.

Why are canine fecal examinations recommended yearly?

Dogs are often eating things off the ground and drinking out of unknown water sources; this puts them at risk for contracting internal parasites. A fecal can tell us if there is anything scary residing within your dog. It can be particularly risky if there are children or immunocompromised individuals coming in contact with them as a lot of parasites are zoonotic (can be passed from animal to human).

If my dog’s urine test reveals a urinary tract infection, what can I do?

A course of appropriate oral antibiotics will help clear this up!
